Supporting a Postpartum Person

$7.00

If it hasn’t already happened, chances are that at some point someone close to you will have a baby. Generations ago these births were taking place at home or closer to home, where family & friends would be involved in the process by default—but in our current times many of us have little or no experience with birth / postpartum. As it is now, many of us feel awkward or unsure of what to say or ask or do around a postpartum person (and truly, what do you say to a human who has just brought another person from out of their body? we should be a little stunned & in awe). But it would be nice if we could be a little helpful, too. most of us do want to help—we just really have no idea where to start.
